Research Methods Seminar Series on Gender and Management online series hosted by Lancaster University Management School

The Academy for Gender, Work and Leadership is excited to host a series of six online seminars. Convened by Prof Valerie Stead and Dr Sophie Alkhaled, each seminar will introduce a particular method and feature specialist guest speakers on gender and management. The series will draw on the recently published Handbook of Research Methods on Gender and Management (Stead, Elliott & Mavin, 2021) and will include guest hosts Professors Sharon Mavin and Carole Elliott. All speakers are contributors to the handbook and will present a method, with an illustration of it in use, provide key guidelines for use and ethical considerations. After the presentations there will be an opportunity for participants to provide feedback on the session, share their own research experiences and meet others with similar interests.

All researchers interested in learning about research methods on gender and management in theory and practice, including early career researchers and doctoral students, would benefit from this seminar series. See attachment for details on each seminar and how to sign up.

    Looking forward to your participation
    Sophie Alkhaled and Valerie Stead
