Annual Meeting 2023

83rd Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management

4-8 August, Boston, MA USA

Message from the Division Chair

Eddy Ng

Hello fellow DEI members! Congratulations on your acceptances to present and participate at the Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Boston. I am thrilled to share that the DEI Executive Committee has been busy planning for the conference as we have lots to celebrate. This year we are commemorating the division’s 50th anniversary since our founding as the Women and Minorities in Management Interest Groups. We are also marking a new era with our recent division name and domain statement change from the Gender and Diversity in Organizations (GDO) division to the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) division. Please mark your calendars to attend our Celebration of Success and DEI Plenary as we reflect on the past, present, and future of DEI work. Our work is more important than ever. We continue to face an uncertain future with legislative threats, culture wars, and the rollback of academic rights and freedom. I invite you to engage in the many conversations we have planned on advancing DEI work and making our scholarship impactful for the benefit of organizations and society.

On behalf of the DEI Executive Committee, I look forward to personally welcoming you to Boston.
