2022 Health Care Management Division Award Winners
Each year the HCM Division of the Academy of Management recognizes individuals for outstanding research, teaching, and service, as well as 5 outstanding paper submissions to the AOM Annual Meeting. Please, join us in congratulating the 2022 winners!
Keith G. Provan Distinguished Scholar Award
This is the most prestigious research award of the Health Care Management Division recognizing a career of high-quality scholarly research in health care management.
The 2022 recipient is – Mary Fennell (Brown University)
Early Career Research Achievement Award
This award recognizes the distinguished contributions to the field of health care management by an early career scholar.
The 2022 recipient is - Maike Tietschert (Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam)
Mid-Career Research Achievement Award
This award recognizes the distinguished contributions to the field of health care management by a mid-career scholar.
The 2022 recipient is – Sunita Sah (Cornell University)
Myron D. Fottler Exceptional Service Award
This award was established to recognize a member of the Division who has provided extraordinary service to HCM and to the profession.
The 2022 recipient is – Timothy (Tim) Hoff (Northeastern University)
HCM Division Excellence in Teaching Award
This award recognizes innovative and outstanding teaching in health care management by dedicated and inspiring teachers.
The 2022 recipient is – Laura McClelland (Virginia Commonwealth University)
HCM Division Best Paper Award
Sponsored by the Foundation of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE). This award is given to the paper judged to be the Best Paper submitted to the HCM Program of the annual Academy of Management meeting.
The 2022 recipient is – Karla Sayegh, for "Of Novices and Experts:
Settling Expertise Differences Following a Hospital Merger."
HCM Division Best Health Care Management Theory to Practice Paper
Sponsored by the HCM Division. This award recognizes the paper with the research which best translates theory to health administration or management practice.
