Dear Colleagues and MC members,
As we look forward to the 2024 AOM Annual Meeting in Chicago, this is an exciting time to be part of the Management Consulting Division. The annual meeting theme is "Innovating for the Future: Policy, Purpose and Organizations." This is important because management consulting and innovation are intertwined.
This year is the perfect occasion to present your works, papers, PDWs and symposium as you are inside moving organizations. MC division fosters symbiotic partnerships between scholars, consultants, industry experts, and executives in the management consulting field. These partnerships empower members with resources for knowledge generation, practical application, and problem resolutions.
We invite you to prepare submissions in order to emphasize research with practice oriented knowledge. The official Call for submissions in under preparation before been published by AOM early November 23. Don't hesitate to :
- 1. start thinking
- 2. designing
- 3. organizing ideas and PDWs
- 4. and managing your contributions !
Our division has abundant, diverse skills to utilize for the good of all and the growth of management consulting. We aim for enhanced engagement through global outreach to members to grow relationships and collaborations. Therefore, we encourage all members to participate in the division's activities. `To do so, MC is preparing you the best experience in Chicago where you will connect with members, meet new ones, and get include in professional and social events.

You are a doctoral student or you would like to start a doctoral program ? You are supervising Doctoral Students ?
We are setting-up the Open MC Doctoral Consortium in order to include all the diversity of research methodologies and to emphasize the co-creation of actionable knowledge, in Business Administration Science. We also inform you that this year, we would like doctoral students (PhD/DBA/DM/Exec PhD...) to have a full experience of the annual meeting. To this end, we are asking doctoral students to submit a scholarly paper to the division, following the same criteria as "classic" papers. This year's general theme is "Innovating for the future", so there's no reason why doctoral students can't find their way around it in terms of their respective thesis subjects. Doctoral students can also co-write with their thesis supervisor(s) (up to a limit of 2 supervisors).
You are a practitioner with the will to challenge you in presenting scientific contribution ?
