    Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to announce an exciting call for papers in the "Human Resource Management" journal (Wiley). In a world characterized by unprecedented social polarization and declining public trust in traditional institutions, the role of the private sector in fostering social cohesion has never been more critical.

The 2023 Edelman Trust Barometer highlights a world "deeply and dangerously polarized," with a significant decline in social cohesion globally. As businesses are increasingly expected to engage with polarizing issues like discrimination and immigration, there is a pressing need for scholarly insight into the role of businesses in promoting social unity and addressing societal challenges.

Our call for papers (HRM and Social Cohesion Beyond the Workplace) seeks contributions that explore the potential roles and impacts of business practices on social cohesion. We encourage submissions that critically examine HRM practices, their potential to advance depolarization, and their broader community implications.

Contributions from diverse theoretical and methodological approaches are welcome to broaden our understanding of these complex issues.

More information can be found in the attached file.

    Best regards,

Eun Su Lee, The University of Newcastle

    Helen De Cieri, Monash University

    Catherine Connelly, McMaster University

Ellen Ernst Kossek, Purdue University (Supervising Editor)
