    The Department of Management in the McCoy College of Business at Texas State University invites applications for a recently approved, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in Fall 2024. The successful candidate for this position will regularly publish high-quality research related to strategic management. The successful candidate will also teach undergraduate and/or graduate management courses in the areas of strategic management while engaging in service at various levels appropriate for this rank. Additionally, this applicant will have an interest in supporting initiatives of the university, college, and department related to various areas of management.

    About the Department of Management
    The Department of Management is a highly collegial and intellectually vibrant group of approximately 30 full-time faculty. The department offers a B.B.A. in Management (with concentrations in Entrepreneurial Studies and Human Resources); provides substantial support to the college's M.B.A. program; and serves as the home of the new, university-wide minor in Innovation & Entrepreneurship.

    The Department of Management is interested in selecting a faculty member who will add to its highly collegial culture and contribute to the advancement of the department and college as the university transitions to a top-tier research institution while retaining a focus on high-quality teaching.

    Successful applicants must possess the following qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. in Business, Management, Strategic Management, or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution by the date of hire.
    • A history of, or strong potential for, publishing in high-quality, peer-reviewed management journals.
    • Experience, or strong potential for, high-quality teaching of strategic management or related courses at the undergraduate level.
    • A record of service commensurate with experience.

    Successful applicants may also possess the following desirable qualifications:

    • Evidence of publishing in top-tier scholarly journals.
    • Experience teaching in an online or hybrid format.
    • Experience, or strong potential for, high-quality teaching of strategic management or related courses at the graduate level.
    • A record of industry experience.
