Dear HCM Division Colleagues,
The call for abstracts is now open for the 2023 Organization Theory in Health Care conference. The conference will be held on Thursday, May 18th and Friday, May 19th, with a pre-conference reception on Wednesday, May 17th. The conference will take place in-person at Stanford.
Abstract submission for research presentations
We invite abstracts from health care organization researchers, including faculty, doctoral students, and postdocs. Submissions on all topics are welcome. Up to five abstracts will be chosen for podium presentation based on peer review, with preference given to those that directly integrate and contribute to organizational theory and to those that indicate the related paper will be completed by the time of the conference. Papers that are not selected for podium presentation will be considered for poster presentation, another key part of the conference.
Research using qualitative, quantitative, or mixed methods is welcome. Theory development papers are also welcome (these should be original contributions to theory and not review articles).
If you would like to present your research at the conference, please submit an abstract for your work to othcassociation@gmail.com. Abstracts are due by Tuesday, March 1 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
Abstracts may be up to two pages double-spaced, 12-point font, and should include the following sections:
- For Empirical Papers: Title of abstract; Author names/affiliations/titles; Presenting author, email, and phone number; Study objectives; Hypotheses/ theory/ conceptual model/ research questions; Study design; Data sources; Measures; Methods; Results; Conclusions; Implications for policy, practice, or both; Implications for theory.
