    Posted 21 days ago

    Dear colleagues,

This is a friendly reminder that the IM Division will conduct a Paper Development Consortium (PDC) at the forthcoming 2024 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Chicago, USA. The event is scheduled to take place at 2-5pm, Saturday, August 10th 2024, Michigan 1A, Hyatt Regency Chicago.

This is the 10th year when the IM Division has been organizing the Paper Development Consortium (PDC) at the AOM Annual Meeting. As one of the three consortia organized by the IM Division, this PDC aims to provide junior scholars with developmental and constructive feedback from a panel of seasoned and current editors at top tier management and international management journals on crafting and publishing international management research. The PDC starts with a panel discussion of crafting and publishing research with both local relevance and "global" impact, followed by a roundtable session in which each participant will receive paper feedback from designated panel members and other participants. The panelists include:

    · Jonathan Doh (Villanova University), Area Editor, Journal of International Business Studies; General Editor (2020-2022), Journal of Management Studies
    · Kenneth Huang (National University of Singapore), Deputy Editor, Management and Organization Review; former Associate Editor at Organization Science (for a special issue)
    · Dana B. Minbaeva (King's College London), Associate Editor, Academy of Management Review
    · Sun-Hyun Park (Seoul National University), Associate Editor, Strategic Management Journal
    · Gurneeta Vasudeva (University of Minnesota), Associate Editor (2020-2022), Academy of Management Journal
    · Tammar B. Zilber (Hebrew University of Jerusalem), Associate Editor (2020-2022), Academy of Management Journal

While priority will be given to junior scholars, all are welcome to apply. Applicants from other fields trying to internationalize their research are also welcome. All paper submissions must fit the International Management mandate (available at: https://im.aom.org/).

We also encourage participants in the Paper Development Consortium to participate in the "Meet-the-Editors" session. This session will provide an invaluable opportunity to hear directly from Editors at some of the leading journals in the field of International Management.
