Auburn University has an opening for a tenure-track, assistant professor of health services administration. We will begin reviewing applications in mid-October.
Candidates must possess a doctoral degree in health administration, public health, or a closely related discipline at the time appointment begins, and present a strong indication of future research productivity in appropriate academic journals.
The program seeks someone with teaching and scholarly interests that complement those of the current faculty. Successful candidates will have a broad knowledge of healthcare management and should be able to teach across the undergraduate health services administration curriculum (e.g. U.S. healthcare delivery system, health information technology, management, post-acute care, policy, etc.) as needed. Areas of particular need for expertise/course coverage include healthcare management/leadership, financial management, operations management, or health insurance/reimbursement. Relevant field experience is desired, but not required.
The individual selected will teach two to three courses per semester to full-time undergraduate students and will also be expected to engage in scholarly activity. Extramural funding for research is not a contractual requirement.
