We'd be thrilled to have you join our AOM Annual Meeting Caucus on the Board of Directors and Firm Innovation!
The board of directors is at the apex of making strategic decisions, setting long-term objectives, and advising and monitoring management during strategy implementation. Yet, there has been surprisingly limited research on how boards of directors affect firm innovation strategies. Given the lack of cross-fertilization between these two research fields in strategic management, we believe there are plenty of opportunities for future research to explore.
This caucus aims to provide informative insights and discussion for scholars working in the areas of corporate governance, innovation, and beyond. Our goal is to bridge the two relatively separate areas, promote the development of new ideas and to address emerging research topics that demonstrate significant practical relevance.
