    Dear Colleagues,

apologies for cross-posting. I am sharing with you the

CALL FOR PAPERS – AMCIS (2023) Minitrack – Cloud-based Services and Service Systems

[part of the Track on Engineering Sustainable Services]

In almost every industry the amount of processed data is increasing dramatically. Products are becoming permeated by information and communication technologies and business processes are continuously digitalized. Utilizing advanced data infrastructures (e.g., GAIA-X, IDSA), data can be shared across company lines and the opportunity for new cloud-based, data-driven services resp. service systems arises. The aim of this mini-track is to foster a common understanding of the underlying dependencies between cloud-based data infrastructures and service systems.

We are looking for papers regarding conceptual basics (e.g., taxonomies, conceptualizations, challenges), design aspects (e.g., architectures, methods), and management topics (e.g., business models, governance). Additionally, we seek for papers that critically open discussions by suggesting avenues for future research or by presenting empirical and/or experimental study results. All papers should emphasize and elaborate on the role of data infrastructures for service provision, especially papers concerning and focusing on GAIA-X are invited.

Among others, the minitrack would consider papers focusing on topics such as:

Role of artificial intelligence, big data, and other intelligent tools in service innovation

    • Intersections of data infrastructures and service innovation
    • Designing data-driven service innovation, business models, and architectures
    • Challenges and potentials in realizing data infrastructures for service innovations
    • Empirical results about the effectiveness cloud-based services
    • Data governance in service systems
    • Data infrastructures for Industry 4.0
    • Use Cases and instantiations for GAIA-X services and service systems
    • Management of complex data infrastructures for services
    • Operation of cloud-based services
    • Coordination dynamics between stakeholders (provider, customer, platform)
    • Industry-specific themes:
      • Energy systems and cloud-based services
      • Healthcare and data architectures
      • Cloud-based services for manufacturing
