21st WEST COAST RESEARCH SYMPOSIUM ON TECHNOLOGY ENTREPRENEURSHIP (WCRS)

We invite authors to submit papers to our research symposium, a lively forum for the exchange of ideas among scholars interested in technology entrepreneurship. The 2024 conference will be held at University of Oregon in Eugene-nestled between the Cascade and Coastal mountain ranges and well-known for its wineries/breweries and outdoor sports (and as the birthplace of Nike).

Papers focusing on entrepreneurship and innovation in technology-based settings will be given preference. In addition to our broad focus on technology entrepreneurship, for 2024 we especially encourage submissions from authors examining the politics of technology and the relationships between technology and public policy. We are open to a wide variety of perspectives on these topics.

We expect to host an intimate conference of 50+ leading scholars from around the world. The conference steering committee invites the submission of unpublished working papers that advance the state of knowledge on technology entrepreneurship. Please note that WCRS rules require faculty members to present. Thus, while submissions that include graduate student co-authors are welcomed and encouraged, a faculty co-author will be expected to attend and present.

We hope to see you at the University of Oregon in September!
