Openings for two Professors of Practice at VT Pamplin starting Fall 2024 - Please repost and pass on to potential candidates!
The Department of Management in the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech invites applications for two Professor of Practice faculty positions to begin in August 2024.
Candidates should have
(1) master's degree in business or closely related field;
(2) demonstrated effectiveness in the delivery of business instruction;
(3) ability to teach courses in two or more of the following areas: international business, business analytics, entrepreneurship, corporate innovation, project management, human resource management, leadership, managerial consulting, strategic management, and business ethics;
(4) demonstrated engagement with the business community;
(5) strong interpersonal and communication skills;
(6) the ability to contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging efforts of the college and university.
An important expectation for the position is the willingness to teach in-person classes in China in the Dual Degree program Virginia Tech has with Xidian University (Xian, China) for 6 weeks during the fall semester.
