While innovation seems to be prioritized in the boardroom, in practice it comes with high risks, and failure is seldom condoned.
Job titles such as Chief Technology Officer, Head of Innovation, R&D Director and more, fit under the "umbrella" term "Innovation Leaders", and there is increasing interest in professionalizing innovation management, for example Sweden and Japan have been leading such initiatives.
However, it remains elusive what core knowledge and abilities are required to be effective in such roles.
Thus, we invite you to join the free event focusing on the core question: "Is it time to professionalize innovation management?"
The event is arranged by R&D Today in partnership with RADMA and the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, ahead of the R&D Management Conference in Stockholm, Sweden.
Chair: Dr. Allison Haitz MBA, trustee of RADMA and Strategic Advisor to Venture Capital and Private Equity
"Professional status brings recognition, reward, and high-quality innovation" - Prof Magnus Karlsson - Systematic Innovation Management, KTH Royal Institute of Technology
"Innovation leadership is in our DNA – compulsory professionalisation would stifle inspiration" - Scott May, Head of MISTA at Givaudan.
