    I am looking for a textbook suitable for an online graduate (MBA) OB course that lasts about 8 weeks.  I appreciate any recommendations you might have.

    I am always partial to Robbins OB books no matter how long the course.  You just have to pick and choose what you want to emphasize..

    I use this one.

     

    Bauer, Talya and Erdogan, Berrin. Organizational Behavior.  Flatworld Knowledge.  (Available through flatworldknowledge.com).

     

    I like it for various reasons:

    1.      It's evidence-based (this is the most important factor for me)

    2.      The writing is direct and to the point, making it easier for students to read

    3.      It discusses ethics and culture in relation to each chapter

    4.      The publisher offers various options from online to printed versions, study aids, etc. that are very affordable for students

     

    I have received positive feedback on this book from students as well.

    We have found Jone Pearce's "Organizational Behavior: Real Research for Real Managers", supplemented with hbr articles, to be very effective for our MBA OB course.

    I would recommend Robbins and the 7th edition of "Organizational Behaviour" by Buchanan and Huczynski. For more advanced discussions, you could also look at "Reframing Organizations: Artistry, Choice and Leadership" by Bolman and Deal.
