If you are a PhD student who has finished your comprehensive exams (or has finished at least 1 year of your PhD program), we invite you to join us for the annual "Halfway There" PDW at AoM 2023. This PDW is designed to help mid-program PhD students begin establishing themselves as independent scholars. We hope you will consider registering for this session and/or spreading the word to your students and colleagues. Pre-registration is required (see link below) and attendance is limited to 75 people, so if you are interested please register now using the link below (takes 1-2 minutes).
Program Overview:
Part 1: Introduction and Introspection
Part 2: Crafting your Academic Impact with Dr. Maryam Kouchaki (Northwestern University) and Dr. Gabrielle (Gabe) Adams (University of Virginia)
Part 3: Launching the Dissertation Process with Dr. Margaret Luciano (Pennsylvania State University)
Part 4: Envisioning your Job Market with Dr. Angelica Leigh (Duke University), Dr. Elad Sherf (University of North Carolina), Dr. Kristie Rogers (Marquette University), and Dr. Natalie Liberman (Indiana University)

Round Table Discussions: During this session, attendees will be assigned to round tables facilitated by recently minted faculty and post-docs. The facilitators will help answer questions related to the earlier segments and provide insights about their own experiences writing a dissertation, developing a research program, and navigating the job market.
How do I register? The PDW will be held on Saturday, August 5th from 8am-12pm. There is no charge to attend, but interested students must register on-line by visiting our registration website (or copy paste this URL: https://wharton.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_d1jIjybOZHM3sxg).
Drop-in attendance at the PDW is not allowed. For more information, please contact Michael Parke (mrparke@wharton.upenn.edu).
We hope to see you there!
