We are pleased to announce that the Fifth Bocconi Assembly for Innovation and Cooperation will take place on December 3rd and 4th 2026 on the campus of Bocconi University in Milan.

BAIC is a forum for research on topics of innovation and cooperation, broadly connected to the active research interests of faculty in the Department of Management and Technology and the SDA School of Management. The conference will explore various facets of technology change, social and organizational shifts, as well as global dynamics, offering a platform for designing future research agendas and collaborations. These topics remain deep theoretical domains with important connections to many of the most pressing business and societal challenges of our time. The assembly features scholars and industry experts in two days of stimulating keynotes, panel discussions, paper presentations, and interactive sessions.

The conference is invitation only but with several paper sessions selected competitively from submissions. Full papers can be submitted at the link below.

The conference will be hosted at the SDA Bocconi School of Management state-of-the-art campus, a hub for excellence in research, education, and architectural innovation. This vibrant urban space offers the perfect backdrop for stimulating creative dialogue.

Papers

Presenters will have the opportunity to discuss research with leading scholars and participate in the assembly discussions. Each paper session will feature two paper presentations followed by a discussant and open Q&A.

We seek complete submissions (40 pages, double-space, 12pt font, one-inch margins) of papers that demonstrate novelty, sound theory, and rigorous research design, with the potential of making important contributions to the study of innovation and cooperation. By submitting a paper, you commit to presenting it upon invitation. The invitation is personal and cannot be transferred to a coauthor.

Submitted papers should include a title page with the paper's title, listing all authors and their affiliations, specifying keywords, and an abstract of up to 200 words. We discourage submission of papers that are at or beyond the stage where the paper has already received a second round 'revise and resubmit' invitation.
