The Iberoamerican Academy of Managament (IAM) is pleased to issue a call for proposals to host its biannual international meeting to take place in December 2021. This conference series has been instrumental in promoting cross-country research, collaboration between scholars, and facilitating dialogue between scholars and practitioners.
Past conferences have taken place in the following locations (the 2019 conference will take place in Bogota, Colombia, hosted by Universidad de la Sabana):

We are now calling for proposals to host the conference in 2021. The conference must be held during the month of December. It often lasts three days, with the first day dedicated to the Doctoral Consortium, Opening Ceremony, and Welcome Cocktail/Reception. The other two days are dedicated to plenary, paper, and poster sessions.
The criteria for the location are listed below and the final decision will be made by the IAM board members.
1. Host country
a. Easily accessible in terms of air travel
b. High level of interest in management among local scholars, businesses, and regulators
c. Preferably inexpensive air travel destination, and affordable hotel rates
d. An Iberoamerican location or a non-Iberoamerican location with strong presence of Iberoamerican scholars
e. A politically neutral location that would not preclude people from certain countries to attend
2. Venue
a. Large conference room for plenary sessions (up to 400 people)
b. 6-8 smaller adjacent rooms for parallel paper sessions (20-30 people each)
c. Adequate space for poster sessions
d. Cafeteria space/catering services large enough to host a Gala Dinner
e. Easily accessible via public transportation
3. Host Institution
a. High academic status in general and in management in particular
b. Financial capabilities to support the event, and/or find sponsoring organizations
c. Good organizational capabilities and past experience in hosting meetings
4. IT Capabilities
a. Support staff to assist presenters during sessions
b. Video recording for main sessions/presentations, and at least some breakout sessions
c. Audio recording for all sessions
d. Preferably, live webcast or podcast for main sessions/presentations

Please prepare a proposal noting your institution's ability to meet the four criteria noted above as well as any additional information you may want to highlight about your institution or country.
