Dear Colleagues,
Business and society relations in emerging economies are at a crucial juncture. On one hand, business activities are expanding in these countries, but on the other this is leading to stress on social and environmental systems with potentially far reaching implications. There is a need to pursue economic development which is equitable and inclusive – but without jeopardizing the physical and social environment.
IABS (The International Association for Business and Society) and FORE School of Management, New Delhi, India are organizing a joint conference titled "Business and Society in Emerging Economies." The conference will be held in New Delhi, India between January 11 and January 13, 2018. A community of scholars – from across the developed and developing/emerging economies has started to form. We encourage you to join the special IABS-India initiative LinkedIn Group
The IABS-FORE Joint conference will bring together academics, practitioners, policy makers and representatives from NGOs across the world to examine the various facets of business and society relations in emerging economies. The conference will highlight how business and society issues in emerging and developing economies are similar to and dissimilar from developed countries.
We are seeking conceptual, empirical, and applied submissions that expand current thinking about Business and Society relations, CSR, and corporate sustainability in order to shape CSR theories, practices, polices, and discourses in the context of emerging and developing economies.
The peer-reviewed conference papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings (Full Paper) bearing an International Standard Book Number (ISBN) with renowned publisher.
