Description
The Laboratory of Business Innovation Studies of Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile Innovation Center (www.centrodeinnovacion.uc.cl) is looking for a Senior Researcher interested in developing high impact studies in innovation and entrepreneurship.
This laboratory is a new project of the Innovation Center UC, and aims to become a relevant actor in generation and dissemination of information/studies in entrepreneurship and innovation fields.
We are looking for highly motivated professionals to be part of this new project. In addition, we seek independent thinkers capable to propose new lines of research for the Lab. Excellent use of databases and advance level in statistics programs (i.e. SPSS, Stata) are required. Knowledge and experience in empirical studies, quantitative and qualitative methodologies are key to succeed in the position.
The applicants should be empirically oriented and have publications or working papers, in areas such as innovation, management, entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and/or innovation policy.
The initial position is for 12 months. However, upon excellent performance, the position conditions could be extended for another period. The expected starting date is September 1, 2018.
Required Qualifications
- Preview experience in research innovation and entrepreneurship related topics.
- Phd in areas such as management, economy, sociology, public policy or related fields. There is opportunities to publish papers with academics of the university
- Advance level of English and Spanish
- Advance level in statistics programs, databases, excel, ppt and Word
- Able to work with people from different disciplines
Main Activities
- Elaborating impact assessments of innovation and entrepreneurship public policies
- Elaborating studies about practices of R&D and Innovation
- Elaborating studies about collaboration network of the innovation ecosystem in Chile or Latin America
- Generating new innovation benchmarks
- Leading the elaboration of new data collection instruments (quantitative and qualitative)
- Developing proposals and applications to new research projects.
