We cordially invite you to publish in the International Journal of Knowledge Engineering and Management (IJKEM) - ISSN 2316-6517, a respected forum for the exchange of interdisciplinary reflections, researches and experiences in the field of knowledge engineering, knowledge management and knowledge media, which aims to contribute to the advance of science, technologies and studies on the applicability of knowledge as a factor of production and generation of value for the quality, sustainability, innovation and/or competitiveness of public and private organizations, academia and society.

As a quarterly publication, IJKEM is addressed to researchers, teachers, students and professionals from related fields for publicizing original articles of theoretical and scientific, technological and practical nature.

In order to contribute to the popularization of scientific knowledge, IJKEM's proposal is to be an environment for the exchange of ideas, methods and results of research and experience, encouraging multi, inter or transdisciplinary technical and scientific debate.

Its sections consist of papers, communications and experience reports, accepted in Portuguese, English and Spanish, which must have at least one doctoral researcher among its authors.

Basically four types of papers are accepted for publication:

·         Scientific papers presenting results of original, theoretical or empirical research on knowledge engineering, knowledge management and knowledge media;

·         Literature reviews displaying the theme's state of the art, contributing to the advance of the science frontier;

·         Researches on technology trends reviewing areas related to knowledge engineering, knowledge management and knowledge media.

·        Essays presenting detailed reflection, with proper writing to the scope of a scientific publication, where the author has more freedom to defend certain position aiming to deepen the discussion or to submit a new contribution or approach to an important issue.

IJKEM was created in late 2012 and for its relevance, was qualified on its very first evaluation as a B4 in the Qualis CAPES Brazilian classification of scientific production. With the maturity achieved and for attending the quality indicators required by CAPES, IJKEM trends towards a B2 classification in the next evaluation.
