2015 Emerald/CLADEA
Management Research Fund Award
Emerald Group Publishing in partnership with the Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuela de Administración - CLADEA is promoting the 2015 Emerald/CLADEA Management Research Fund Award.
The aim is to encourage the development of research projects in Business, Management & Administration.
The prize
The best research project proposal will receive USD$3,000.
Research project proposal guidelines
The research project proposal must be focused on aspects of management within the Latin American and/or Caribbean regions and include the following:
- Covering letter - including institution/affiliation, address, telephone number and/or e-mail of all the researchers involved in the project proposal
- Summary stating specific goals, outcomes and benefits of the research
- Proposal and research purposes
- The theoretical framework and the methodology to be used and a clear description of the research stages
- Expected impact and results and possible applications
- Schedule
- Budget and funding sources (if applicable)
- Maximum of 2,000 words - tables notes, figures, appendices and references, if included, will not be included in the word count
- Project proposals may be submitted in English, Spanish or Portuguese but the abstract and keywords must be written in English.
As the proposals will be evaluated through a blind-review process, you must NOT include the name of the author (s) or of the institution in any part of the project proposal, under penalty of exclusion. This information should be included ONLY in the covering letter.
Eligibility
- A project proposal must be submitted by one author or by one research group affiliated to at least one institution based in Latin America or the Caribbean
- The main author must have Latin American or Caribbean nationality
- Each author or research group may submit ONLY one project proposal
Project proposals that do not meet one or more of these requirements will be automatically excluded from the selection process.
Evaluation criteria
- Reasonable budget and schedule in line with the objectives presented in the proposal
- Clarity, consistency and use of appropriate scientific language in the presentation of the research problem
- Presentation of the theoretical framework and appropriate methodology
- Originality and relevance
- Linking theory and practice
- Project focus on the Latin America and/or Caribbean regions
Key dates
- Submissions: from May 12th to July 10th, 2015
- Results: August 31st, 2015
- Awards announcement: September 8th, 2015 (during the CLADEA 2015 conference in Viña del Mar, Chile)
- Prize giving: October 30th, 2015
