Dear colleague,
let me provide you with a brief update on Management Research, the official journal of the Iberoamerican Academy of Management.
We continue growing!!
According to the latest information provided by Emerald, our publisher, the number of submissions has increased 24% in 2015. More importantly, paper downloads have increased 43% during the last year with downloads from all over the world. So, publishing in Management Research will certainly give your work international visibility.
In addition, we are committed to provide a developmental and quick review process. Currently, our average days from submission to first decision is only 48 days, our reviewer turnaround time is 27 days, and the average number of days from submission to final decision is 78 days. All these figures are well below benchmarks in the industry. It is also important to remember that the review process can be conducted in English, Portuguese or Spanish.
We are implementing several actions to continue growing and giving our authors the highest possible visibility. This includes the presence in rankings and social media. In this regard, Emerald has recently presented the Kudos service, which is freely available to all authors that have published an article with Emerald. Kudos is an online toolkit that helps maximize the visibility and impact of academic publications and provides authors with tools designed to help increase readership and citations of their article. Using Kudos, authors can explain their work for wider audiences and share it more effectively via their existing networks. Kudos map authors' actions directly against downloads, citations and metrics enabling them to learn which tools help increase impact.
Our plans also include the commission of special issues. We launched a call for special issue proposals. If you are interested in guess-editing one, please contact me. In this sense, remember that there are currently two special issues that accept submissions, "Case Study Research on Merger and Acquisitions" and "Location and Dispersion of Multinationals in Iberoamerica".
Submit your manuscripts for consideration to publication in Management Research and recommend the journal to your colleagues, and be an active actor in the growth of OUR JOURNAL.
Feel free to contact me at any time to discuss your thoughts and ideas, or to solve any question related with the fit of your work in Management Research.
Yours sincerely,
Martin Larraza-Kintana
