Do CEOs receive the pay they deserve? Using a novel analytical approach, our leading article from Aguinis, Gomez-Mejia, Martin, O'Boyle and Joo analyses CEO pay vs CEO performance in US firms. Their findings uncover that the top performing CEO's are not the top earning CEO's. The implications of the study are discussed and challenged by nine written commentaries by Martin J.
