  • 1.  FERC Spanish Discussion Group

    Dear Colleagues,

     

    The Family Enterprise Research Conference is driving the creation of a virtual group conversation in Spanish with the idea of bringing together academics and researchers from Spanish speaking countries with the objectives of sharing experiences, issues, projects or techniques and to increase and support the efforts to expand our knowledge regarding family business from many colleagues in the Americas and Europe.

     

    This first session will feature a group of participants from different countries and two high level presentations.

     

    For this virtual session we will use Zoom software which is a very simple program (like Skype, but more stable) and will not take you more than 3 minutes to download.

     

    The first meeting will be Wednesday, July 23 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM UTC (local schedule below ). To access the session send an email to Moderator FERC Spanish. The session is limited to 30 attendees.

     

    The first presentation will be conducted by Vanessa Díaz (DCU Business School, Ireland) She will share the paper entitled "Long-Term Orientation and innovativeness in Multi-Generational Family Firms" which she co-authored and is a FERC 2014 Award winner. Immediately after,  Doctor Rodrigo Basco (Universität Witten / Herdecke in Germany) will present an opportunity for publication regarding the theme of "Family Business and Regional Development".

    Welcome to 2nd session of FERC Spanish Discussion Group, initiative
    launched by The Family Enterprise Research Conference.

    FERC Spanish Discussion Group is driving the creation of a virtual group

    The first presentation will be conducted by Isabel C. Botero, Ph.D
    (University of Kentucky) She will share her experience in a presentation
    entitled "Writing in a second language". Immediately after, Dr. Jorge
    Durán Encalada (Universidad de las Américas Puebla, México) will present
    an research entitled "The effect of Ownership Composition on Earning
    Management: Evidence for Mexican Stock Exchange perspective".

    Dear AoM Ibero Colleagues,

     

    You are cordially invited to our 4th session of the virtual group conversation in Spanish with the aim of bringing together academics and researchers from Spanish speaking countries with the objective of sharing experiences, issues, projects or techniques and to increase and support the efforts to expand our knowledge regarding family business collaborating with many colleagues in the Americas and Europe, according to the founding principles of FERC.

     

    The previous three sessions (June, August & October) had over 75 participants from 14 different countries and we saw six high level presentations.

     

    The virtual session we will use Zoom software which is a very simple program (like Skype, but more stable) and will not take more than 3 minutes to download.

     

    This 4th meeting will be Wednesday, December 10 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM UTC (local schedule below ). To access the session you just click on this link or go to https://zoom.us/join  and then go to the meeting ID 480 486 261. The session is limited to 30 attendees.

     

    The first part will be conducted by Isabel Botero (University of Kentucky) she will share the presentation “Metodología de Investigación en Empresas Familiares”. Immediately after, Allan Discua (Lancaster University) will present the theme “Estudiando a la familia empresarial: Oportunidades y Retos”.
