Last semester, I asked my students to identify a supply chain professional guest from the Supply Chain Careers Podcast (available on Spotify, Apple, or wherever you access podcasts). They were each required to choose a unique guest, no duplicates allowed.
1) They were asked to listen to the entire episode (typically 30-40 minutes), then
2) They were asked to choose the top 5 quotes they felt were most valuable to them personally, then
3) They were asked to tell me why they chose each of the top 5 quotes
The Value of the Exercise
I was very surprised to read how much they enjoyed listening to the advice of these professionals. I was even more surprised at how well they wrote about the experience and how much true thoughtfulness and emotion they put into their answers.
