We are seeking nominations for the 2026 Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Doctoral Consortium. Self-nominations are welcome.

The consortium will be in person and will occur on Friday, July 31, 10:45 AM-2:45 PM during the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA.

The Doctoral Consortium will include a diverse mix of speaker panels and participative roundtable discussions designed to provide doctoral students with a realistic, open, and honest understanding of being a doctoral student studying and teaching about DEI as well as going on the job market including: publishing diversity research; tips and takes on navigating the job market as a DEI researcher, and finding community to help navigate the current DEI landscape.

Participants will also have the opportunity for more personalized connections and feedback through a mentor-match to be held after the consortium (or at another mutually agreed upon time), in which participants are paired with a more senior scholar based on the participant's research interests.

We expect an enrollment of about 25 doctoral students, and the application deadline is June 15, 2026. Please send your CV to Renata Casado (renata.casado@uwa.edu.au) and Charlotte Karam (ckaram@uottawa.ca) to apply. All are welcome to apply but please note if space becomes limited, preference will be given to doctoral students who are closer to completing their doctoral program.

All applicants are expected to stay for the entirety of the consortium, so please avoid being double-booked. You may contact the organizers with questions or to submit nominations.

We look forward to welcoming you to the DEI Doctoral Student Consortium at AOM!
