Research Policy (RP) and the Technology and Innovation Management (TIM) Division of the Academy of Management invites original paper proposals for an online paper development workshop targeted for scholars based at institutions in South Asia and Africa.
To be eligible, scholars should work at an institution in South Asia or Africa and either be a PhD student or have received their PhD since July 2018.
Applicants should submit a 7 pages/4000 words paper proposal that describes the research question, identifies the contribution, methods and data used, and includes references. Proposals should use single line spacing,12 point font and be submitted as a word file. List all co-authors in the order of contribution. A maximum of one contribution as author or two as a co-author will be permitted. Proposals that are substantially similar to already published work will not be considered.
Selected submissions will be assigned to a volunteer mentor drawn from the RP and the TIM community of Editors, Advisory board members and trusted reviewers. Mentors will organize a online Zoom meeting at which a small number of papers will be presented, with feedback from the mentor and the other workshop participants.

1) Fill up the google form to register your details.
2) Submit your paper proposal and supporting documents to respol@sussex.ac.uk. Your supporting documents should include a letter from your university that demonstrates eligibility by providing the dates of joining a PhD program or the date of award of a PhD.
Notification of proposal acceptance by email : 30 May 2023
Draft Discussion Papers due: 31 July 2023
Zoom meetings : September to December 2023.

Authors will be free to submit their paper to any journal they choose, and will receive no special treatment if they do choose to submit them to RP. Any papers developed with the benefit of the workshop and submitted to RP will be subject to the normal refereeing process.
