We are pleased to share a Call for Papers for a JMIR Theme Issue titled "Navigating AI-Enabled Uncertainty: Strategic Implications for Digital Health Management."
As artificial intelligence (AI) becomes embedded in healthcare operations, it is transforming how organizations manage uncertainty, make decisions, and deliver value. This special issue seeks empirical, theoretical, and design-oriented research that provides strategic and managerial insights into how health systems, clinicians, and administrators can respond to the ambiguous, data-driven challenges that AI introduces.
JMIR (Journal of Medical Internet Research) is widely recognized as the leading journal in medical and health informatics, with a 5-year Impact Factor of 6.9 and a Scopus CiteScore of 11.7. It is a Q1 journal in both Medical Informatics and Health Care Sciences. On Google Scholar, JMIR is ranked #1 in the Medical Informatics discipline, and in AIS SIGHealth journal rankings, it has consistently occupied the top-tier (A+) position. Its rigorous peer review and strong focus on digital innovation and AI in health make it a highly visible and influential venue.
This Special "Theme" Issue particularly welcomes submissions emphasizing strategic and managerial implications, aligning strongly with the Healthcare Division's interests in organizational design, leadership, and innovation in healthcare delivery.
