    Objectives: 

    Since 2006, the International Conferences and Doctoral Seminars of the Management Consulting Division of the Academy of Management have been organized each year by ISEOR at Jean Moulin University. They have been highly successful and have enabled the presentation of several thousand presentations of academics and doctoral students coming from 50 countries These events highlight the value of European and transatlantic cooperation for sharing knowledge and experience in themes such as:

    • Research on change management theories and methods.
    • Comparing Doctoral Curricula existing in Europe and in the US in the field of management consulting and organizational development.
    • Preparation of a PhD or a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) by practitioners actively engaged in professional life.
    • Management in times of crisis.
    • The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) into business practices…

    Format of the 2026 Conference and Doctoral Consortium:

     Two types of presentations are expected

    - Papers, conferences and testimonies proposed by academics.

    - Papers prepared by doctoral candidates or Master's students presenting their ongoing research in doctoral workshops.

     

    Two prizes will be awarded to authors of best papers in each language (French, English and Spanish): one for academics and another one for doctoral students.

    The best papers authored by academics or doctoral candidates (only if co-authored with their director of research) will be encouraged for submission to the Journal Recherches en Sciences de Gestion/ Management Sciences/ Ciencias de Gestión. It is important to note that this journal only accepts articles from individuals who hold a doctoral degree (PhD or DBA). Therefore, a doctoral student may be a co-author of an article written jointly with their thesis advisor and submit it for publication in the journal.

    ISEOR is a cutting edge research center with 125 international researchers, scholar-practioners and doctoral candidates.  The ISEOR International Research Center has already organized in Lyon (France) numerous conferences in partnership with the Academy of Management (USA) : from 2001 to 2025 with the Management Consulting Division, in 2004, 2007, 2011, 2015 with the Research Methods Division), in 2005 with the Social Issues in Management Division, from 2006 to 2024 with the Organization Development and Change Division, in 2009 with a consortium of divisions : Social Issues in Management, Organization Development and Change, Research Methods Division, Organizations and the Natural Environment, Management Consulting and Practice Theme Committee.

    Submission deadlines:

    • Abstracts (maximum of 4,500 characters) must be submitted by February 9, 2026.
    • Full articles (15 pages or a maximum of 48,000 characters, including spaces) in French, English, or Spanish must be submitted by March 16, 2026.
    • Notification deadline for authors: April 27, 2026.
    • Deadline for submission of the final version of the article: May 18, 2026.

     

    Format:

    • MS word, Times New Roman 10 point font, single spaced.
    • Margins: 0.90" left, 1.73" right, 0.98" top and 1.18" bottom.
    • Indent 1st line of each paragraph.
    • Orientation of sheets: portrait and pages facing one another for all the document.
    • Paper format: B5: 7.16" breadth x10.12"height. Headline 0" and bottom 0.79"
    • Sub-headings should be bold, on a separate line, left-justified, and all caps.
    • Title page for all submissions should appear as follows: on a separate page from the body of the paper:

    TYPE: Doctoral student, Executive doctoral student, academic

    CONTACT PERSON: Choose 1 person to be the contact person, LIST of authors' names, in desired sequence. CONTACT INFORMATION for each author, including the following: Name, Organization or University affiliation, Occupation / Position for each author, Address, Phone, Fax, e-mail.

    The article must be preceded by an ABSTRACT of no more than 10 lines and include between 5 and 7 keywords.

    The author will explicitly specify whether the submission is:

    • a paper by an academic member or researcher.
    • a paper by a doctoral candidate.
    • a presentation of the current stage of their doctoral research for discussion in a Doctoral Workshop.

    Registration fees:

    -Doctoral students: € 130, which includes registration and proceedings.

    -Academics and practitioners: € 390, which includes registration, proceedings, lunches and gala dinner.
