Do You See What I See? From I to We: Closing the Consciousness Gap Through Appreciative Inquiry
We are delighted to invite you to our Professional Development Workshop at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting 2026 in Philadelphia.
Organizations often experience a consciousness gap: a distance in perception, empathy, and mutual understanding that can become especially visible under pressure, identity threat, competing interests, or difficult workplace conversations.
Through Appreciative Inquiry, reflective dialogue, and collaborative exercises, participants will explore how we can move from separation to connection-and from an "I" orientation toward a more relational and conscious "We."
During this interactive workshop, participants will:
✓ Identify the triggers that widen consciousness gaps
✓ Engage in appreciative dialogue
✓ Explore the relational space-or "consciousness-between"-that emerges in workplace interactions
✓ Co-design practical micro-experiments for strengthening connection, empathy, and collaboration
We will also offer participants small, meaningful gifts designed to serve as tangible reminders of the importance of recognizing and closing the consciousness gap-so that the learning and spirit of connection can continue beyond the workshop.
