    The Human Resource Studies department in the ILR School at Cornell University is seeking to hire a full-time lecturer/senior lecturer to teach HR-related courses in undergraduate and graduate degree programs on Cornell's main campus in Ithaca, New York and set to begin in Fall 2025.

    We welcome candidates with expertise and teaching experience in any area(s) of human resource management, including but not limited to talent acquisition, people analytics, compensation, performance management, training and development, HR leadership, global HR, or diversity.

    Qualifications:

    • A Ph.D. in Human Resource Management or a related field by the appointment date.
    • Prior college-level teaching experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Teach five (5) semester-long courses per year across the fall and spring semesters.
    • Engage in classroom or laboratory instruction.
    • Hold scheduled office hours to meet with students.
    • Grade assignments and examinations.
    • Contribute to the design, syllabi, and organization of departmental course offerings.
    • Stay current with applications and developments in pedagogy in the field.

    Lecturers who have served for several years may be asked to assume administrative responsibilities for departmental course offerings or to train and supervise less experienced colleagues. Senior lecturers often carry additional administrative duties, including developing independent or team-taught courses, producing teaching materials and methodologies, and training or supervising lecturers and teaching associates. Rank and length of term will be determined based on education and experience.

    In compliance with New York's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $51,300 - $164,300. Cornell University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

    This is an academic, full-time, non-tenured track, benefits eligible term appointment, located in Ithaca New York. The initial appointment will be for three years with possibility of renewal, title to be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
