Fully Funded Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship (LSU) | Still Looking for the Right Scholar

  • 1.  Fully Funded Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship (LSU) | Still Looking for the Right Scholar

Most of us who teach MBA and Executive MBA students have encountered them:

The student who is less interested in the next framework than in understanding why entrepreneurial patterns recur.

    The student who keeps asking:

    • Why do ventures with capable teams and promising opportunities fail while others thrive?

    • Why do similar entrepreneurial processes produce dramatically different outcomes?

    • Why do well-established management principles break down under innovation, platforms, and institutional complexity?

If one of those students comes to mind, I would be grateful if you would encourage them to contact us.

The Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems at Louisiana State University is still considering applications for its fully funded Ph.D. Program in Entrepreneurship.

We are particularly interested in applicants who:

    • Stand out in entrepreneurship, innovation & technology management, and AI courses

    • Enjoy theory, logic, and applied analytical reasoning

    • Seek to explain entrepreneurial phenomena

    • Are interested in applied theory-driven research at the intersection of entrepreneurship, strategy, innovation, ecosystems, platforms, and emerging technologies

    Doctoral students receive:

    • Full funding (assistantship, tuition remission, stipend, health insurance)

    • Close faculty mentorship/apprenticeship

    • Early opportunities for coauthorship

    • Conference support

    • Preparation for publication in leading journals such as AMR, AMJ, JBV, SMJ, SEJ, and JOM

While most admissions decisions have already been made this year, every cycle, some outstanding candidates applied narrowly, entered the process late, or find themselves unexpectedly still considering options. If a student comes to mind, I would be delighted to hear from them.
