As part of a continuing growth initiative, the Information Systems & Operations Management (ISOM) Department of Tilburg University, the Netherlands, invites applications for Assistant Professor in Information Systems.
Our position
We are hiring for the academic year 2025–2026. Applicants must have obtained, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Information Systems, Information Management, Management, Information Science, or a closely related field. Research that connects IS with Operations Management is a plus.
We aim to maximize the research time available to research-active faculty. Research time allocation for the tenure-track Assistant Professor is 60%. Research time allocation for tenured faculty is a function of individual performance, but research towards publications in top journals remains a priority at all ranks. Compensation is competitive and among the top in the Dutch universities. In addition, we provide guaranteed travel and starting research budgets.
Tenure-track Assistant Professors will receive a 6-year contract, with tenure and promotion decisions made in year 5 (earlier evaluation is possible based on performance). Tilburg University supports equitable academic recognition and follows the national "Recognition and Rewards" program.

We welcome applications from individuals with research interests in emerging technologies, business analytics, AI, cybersecurity, information assurance, e-government, digital platform and digital transformation. We welcome a variety of research methodologies and value both theoretical and applied contributions. We are looking for candidates who can contribute to top publications at UT Dallas journals and other evidence of scholarly impact, plus evidence of teaching, grant, service, and leadership ability when applicable.
