Most Introduction to Management courses discuss Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Last year Todd Bridgman & Steve Cummings (Victoria University of Wellington), and I posted this video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwLaVYj_V9EOur essay is featured in the current issue (March) of AMLE: "An understanding of the pyramid’s origins can encourage us to think differently about how Maslow could be represented within management studies, to provide a more meaningful legacy than a symbol he never created. It can also be the catalyst for a deeper questioning of our field’s historical foundations and how they are taught to students."
AOM members have had access to our article on-line for nearly a year. Because our paper may be of interest also to our colleagues in other disciplines, such as psychology or education, AMLE has made this paper open access for most of the month of April.
