We are accepting applications for a full-time post-doctoral fellow at the Management Department of the University of Bologna (Italy). We are open to scholars in the fields of strategy, innovation, organization theory and/or entrepreneurship. The position is intended for 12 months and the tentative start date is end of February 2023.

The salary is aligned with the average salary of post-doc fellowships across European institutions and generous funding for travel, visiting periods, and conferences will be available.

A Ph.D. degree is not necessary at the time of application, but it should be obtained in the coming months. Familiarity with qualitative methodologies including the use of software for qualitative analysis is considered fundamental. Interesting profiles without qualitative background will be taken into consideration provided they are willing to embrace such approach.

Professor Leonardo Corbo will be directly supervising the post-doc position. The project, in collaboration with Bocconi University, will offer opportunities to collaborate with faculty members of both institutions. The selected candidate will work on the monetization strategies of platform-based business models. The empirical context in which research will be carried is the Italian publishing industry. As the postdoc fellow will be interacting with key informants in the Italian publishing industry as well as collecting archival data in Italian, knowledge of the Italian language is required.

    Expectations, summing up:

    ·       A Ph.D. completed or near completion in strategy, innovation, organization theory and/or entrepreneurship

    ·       Expertise in qualitative methods and software for qualitative analysis (e.g. NVivo)

    ·       Solid research potential and ambition to publish in top-tier journals

    ·       Ability to work in Italian

    ·       Ability to work independently while participating collaboratively in a multidisciplinary research team.
