    The Management and Organization (MOR) Department at the USC-Marshall School of Business seeks to hire new tenure-track faculty members in organizational behavior to begin in Fall 2024. We welcome applications from candidates at all ranks. We seek candidates who are or have the potential to become, leading scholars on topics relevant to organizations.  We are also looking for displayed capability in teaching.

    The MOR department is involved in the study of organizational behavior and strategic management; our 23 tenured/tenure-track faculty members have backgrounds in organizational behavior, psychology, sociology, economics, and general management. In the OB area, research interests are broad and address micro and meso issues using both quantitative/experimental and qualitative/observational approaches, among others. Our faculty members teach courses at the undergraduate, MBA, Ph.D., and executive levels. Please visit for more information about faculty research and publications.     Our search is not restricted, so any area of research focus is welcome. Several areas of particular strategic interest to us at present include technology & innovation; diversity, equity, & inclusion; and ethics. We also highly value multi-method approaches to research.

CV Cover letter Curriculum: please attach one document containing a statement of research, a statement of teaching philosophy, and your dissertation proposal summary (for those just completing their Ph.D.). Contacts: we need contact information for three people willing to write letters of recommendation. The system will automatically generate a letter to each one, and the reply will be returned to the system confidentially (i.e., you will not be able to see the letters). Letters do not need to be sent directly to Marshall/MOR. Other: please create one pdf file containing at least two, but preferably three, representative research papers.

    Salary is dependent on qualifications, and employee benefits for full-time faculty are excellent.  The annual base salary range for this position is $165,750 - $420,370. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.

    Minimum qualifications: Doctoral degree or foreign equivalent in an appropriate area of study; no experience is specifically required, although consideration may be given to candidates with experience teaching at the college/university level and/or who can demonstrate evidence of research competence.
