    The Department of Management Information Systems in the Terry College of Business at The University of Georgia invites applications for a tenure-track Senior Associate or Full Professor position beginning August 2023. Appointment to an endowed chair is possible depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate.

     

    Qualified applicants must hold a Ph.D. in information systems or a closely related discipline from an AACSB accredited institution or international equivalent. They must also have a demonstrated record of research excellence through top-tier publications in IS or related disciplines commensurate with rank.     The Management Information Systems Department is consistently ranked very highly nationally and internationally for both its programs and its scholarly productivity. Faculty hold editorial positions at the premier information systems journals, and current and emeritus faculty include multiple AIS Fellows, LEO Award winners, and one INFORMS ISS Distinguished Fellow. The department is quite diverse in terms of gender, race, ethnicity, research traditions, topics of interest, and research approach and includes 14 full-time tenure-track faculty and 8 full-time lecturers and senior lecturers.

     

    The Management Information Systems Department offers the following degrees: Ph.D., an online Master of Business & Technology, a BBA in MIS that includes areas of emphasis in data analytics and information security management, and a FinTech certificate. In addition, the Terry College of Business offers an on-campus MBA degree, an on-campus Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) degree, and off-campus Executive/Professional MBA degrees (in Atlanta).
