Design Thinking Student Event and Educator/Practitioner Conference

  • 1.  Design Thinking Student Event and Educator/Practitioner Conference

I'm writing to put on your radar two design thinking events, one for students and one for faculty:

The virtual Royal Roads Design Thinking Challenge is for business undergraduates who want to learn design thinking and contribute to societal good. It is a student competition with $10,000 in prizes, but more importantly, it is an educational event. Judges act as mentors, who help students develop design thinking skills. We limit the event to 12 teams, so that each team can receive meaningful feedback at each step of the process. The four day live event runs from Feb 15-18, 2023. (Round 1, which happens asynchronously starts January 16, 2023). Registration details

The one-day virtual Royal Roads Design Thinking Educator & Practitioner Conference is a "Conference for Design Thinking Lovers, Skeptics, Revolutionaries, and Curious Bystanders." We invite practitioners, educators, and researchers to share your successes, your tips and tricks, your lessons learned, your critiques, your "redesigned" design processes, and your hopes for how design thinking might help foster new futures. Please submit a proposal by to present by October 31, 2022.  Submit a proposal/Register to attend
