Welcome to MOBTS 50th Anniversary Conference Call for Papers! We look forward to hosting you at Jacksonville University in Jacksonville, Florida from June 6th – 9th, 2023 and look forward to receiving your proposals.
The theme for our 50th Anniversary conference is "Bridges". This theme represents the many bridges that span the Jacksonville landscape over the St. Johns River, and metaphorically inspires us to reflect on our Society's past to build a strong bridge to our future.
We encourage members, both long-standing and brand new, to submit ideas, exercises, best practices, and teaching innovations as we celebrate our past and continue to discuss the future of management education and the Society.
We encourage all levels of proposals – from simple teaching exercises you have been conducting for a number of years and can share with new members, to advanced teaching methods that will engage and challenge our more experienced members. The idea is to help bridge the learning chasm for new and experienced educators alike.
Please note that proposals do not need to explicitly articulate a connection to the conference theme of bridges; we simply want participants to focus on engaging in interactive sessions that promotes effective practices in management education.
As starters, here are some ideas that might invoke the "Bridges" theme in your proposal:
Proposals can be in the form of interactive exercises, panel/symposium sessions, round table discussion sessions, or Professional Development Workshops (PDW). Sessions must be interactive and/or experiential and can be 45, 60, or 75 minutes long. All submissions are double-anonymous reviewed.
All submissions are double-anonymously reviewed. Accepted submissions will have the opportunity to be included in our Conference Proceedings with ISBN.
