Dear Tomaž and all,
I am sorry the Caucus was not accepted. I believe this should not prevent the group from gathering in space outside the conference to discuss the most pressing matters.
Let me take this chance to inform you that luckily the PDW: "Using Sport Data to Advance Management Theory" has instead been accepted (11th edition!) and we hope you will attend it - location, date and time will be shared in due time.
Thanks
Warm wishes
Paolo

Subject: Notification about the proposed Caucus session in Philadelphia 2026
Dear members of the AOM Sport and Management Group,
I just wanted to let you know that our Caucus proposal (attached) was unfortunately not considered relevant enough to be included in the program of this year's AOM conference.
At this point, I am not yet sure what this means for our meeting, where we had planned to organize ourselves more formally and set out our plans for the future. The Caucus meeting would have provided us with a suitable venue and an appropriate time slot, and now we have neither. We will see how things develop over the coming weeks. I will also discuss this topic with Marko Vukosavovic (AOM CFO) in the first half of April.
I still firmly believe that it would make sense to continue building connections at the intersection of management and sport, so I hope that you (or all of us together if I attend) will take some steps in that direction already in Philadelphia.
Kind regards,
Tomaž
