    ABOUT THE POSITION

Teaching will be a strong focus for this position. Courses that this position will be asked to cover at the undergraduate, graduate and/or postgraduate level will depend on the candidate's experience and qualifications but should overlap with at least some of the following topics: International Management, International Business Strategy, and Advanced Corporate Strategy. For an appointment at the Associate level, applicants are required to have extensive higher education teaching experience. In addition, the selected candidate will contribute to the development of the Department's programs. As such, we are looking for candidates with strong teaching skills, and who are fluent in English, as most courses are taught in this language. Although not required, active working knowledge of French is considered an asset. For this position, the ability and willingness to interact with managers and the local (and international) ecosystems are indeed valued.

With regards to research, the selected candidate will contribute to the vibrant research community at IESEG through her/his own work. The ideal candidate for this Strategy and International Business position is therefore expected to hold a PhD, have a publication record (or a promising pipeline for an Assistant Professor position) in relevant peer-reviewed journals in the Management, Strategy and/or International Business research field(s), as well as a good international network. Connections of the candidate's research orientation with research expertise of (some) professors in the department will be considered a strong asset. Again, an overview of our diverse group of professors can be found here: Management & Society Department.

Finally, we are looking for candidates who embody our core values of Accomplishment, Responsibility, Integrity, Solidarity, and Engagement, and fit our diverse and international culture in which over 50 nationalities are represented. IÉSEG places tremendous value on diversity and inclusion, and we therefore encourage applications from all backgrounds. Underrepresented groups in academia (notably women, minority ethnic groups, people identifying as LGBTQIA+, people with a (non-)visible disability, and people from lower socio-economic backgrounds and/or economically developing countries) are particularly encouraged to apply, as we are highly committed to ensuring that IÉSEG reflects and benefits from the diversity present in society.
