Dear ambassadors and supporters of the Sport and Management Group,

Our group has been approved and officially established. Thank you for actively contributing to this.

I'm using this first message on the platform to share a summary of the application form, which can serve as a basis for the work of this group at least until our first joint meeting (planned, of course, for Philadelphia 2026). It contains all the key elements from the application: a description and purpose of the group, the target audience, the proposed future leadership structure, as well as a list of the initial ambassadors and their roles in coordinating the group's various activities.

    Best regards,

    Tomaž

    Many thanks Tomaž

I look forward to building this community of practice and 'working' with the members.

If any of you are coming to the Sport Management Assoc of Australia and NZ conference in Auckland in December – I will see you there!

I am also connected with the IOC's Olympic Studies Centre university network – please reach out to me if you are interested in related research. We have two grant programs  https://www.olympics.com/ioc/olympic-studies-centre/research-grant-programmes and are just finalising the successful grants for the PhD and ECA this round.

    All the best

    Tracy
