The International Academy of Research in Indigenous Management and Organizational Studies (IARIMOS)

Starts:  Aug 15, 2024 08:00 (ET)
Ends:  Aug 17, 2024 17:00 (ET)

We are very pleased to announce the second meeting of the International Academy of Research in Indigenous Management and Organizational Studies.

Last year’s inaugural meeting was an unqualified success, with researchers attending from around the globe! We have received enthusiastic support and interest from various journals and institutions, a testament to the relevance and importance of IARIMOS!

This year’s event aims to build on the momentum of last year’s participants’ experience. Once again, the academy will assemble a group of leading Indigenous and non-Indigenous senior management scholars, along with emerging scholars (doctoral students, postdoctoral researchers and junior professors), to explore topics related to Indigenous management and organization studies.

The event will take place August 15 to 17, 2024, at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa. It will be hosted by Ana Maria Peredo, the Canada Research Chair in Social and Inclusive Entrepreneurship at the Telfer School.

In addition to keynote presentations, the two-and-a-half-day event will feature panel discussions bringing together prominent Indigenous researchers and emergent scholars, as well as workshops on current research by emergent scholars. We have confirmed the participation of researchers from Canada, the United States, New Zealand and Australia, as well as Indigenous leaders and elders, whose presence will ensure that research conversations remain connected to Indigenous realities.
