    CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS

STR Junior Faculty Teaching Consortium 2018

Are you new to teaching?  Looking for ideas?  The Strategic Management Division will sponsor its annual Junior Faculty Teaching Consortium during the pre-conference period of the 2018 Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management in Chicago.

    Friday, August 10, 2018 9:00am - 4:30pm
    Swissotel Chicago

Limited seating ... registration will remain open until the seats are filled!

The STR Junior Faculty Teaching Consortium is for both teaching- and research-oriented faculty who are 0-5 years out of their PhD programs.  The goal is to engage participants so they become more effective in the classroom and more efficient with their teaching-related activities.  Participants will have opportunities to learn from award-winning teachers, to discuss with distinguished faculty and peers in small groups particular teaching issues they may be having, to learn about available resources, to meet and interact with future colleagues, and to enhance their teaching and overall development.  The consortium will be held on Friday, August 10 (full day, including lunch).

Award-winning faculty panelists include:  Gautam Ahuja (Cornell University), Idie Kesner (Indiana University), and Minyuan Zhao (University of Pennsylvania).  The consortium co-chairs are:  Joan Allatta (Temple University) and Kenneth Huang (National University of Singapore).

Interested participants should apply via the application website today!   All applicants will be notified of admission decisions by mid July 2018.  We will be doing rolling admissions.  To ensure that space constraints do not affect your application, it is advisable to apply now as the number of participants is limited.
