CALL FOR NOMINATIONS FOR THE TIM PAST CHAIRSEMERGING SCHOLAR AWARD
The Technology and Innovation Management Division (TIM) of the Academy of Management seeks nominations for the "PAST CHAIRS EMERGING SCHOLAR AWARD." This award is given to an emerging scholar who has already achieved a solid publication record and whose scholarly contributions show great promise to become influential or path breaking in the TIM domain. The award is given annually at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting by the Chairman of the TIM Past Presidents Emerging Scholar Award selection committee.

2012 NOMINATION PROCESS
Who Can Nominate: Any member of the TIM Division. Nominations will be advertised to all division members through email, the TIM listserve, and the TIM Newletter.
Who Can be Nominated: Any scholar within 5 years of obtaining the Ph.D. degree. The nominee should have already achieved a solid publication record, with scholarly contributions judged by the nominating member as showing exceptional quality and great promise to become influential.
How Can You Nominate Somebody: By sending an email to Paul Adler with a short note explaining the reasons for your nomination, and an attachment with the nominee's CV or a URL link to it.
Period for Nominations: Opens June 15, 2012; closes July 1, 2012.

The AOM Practice Impact Award seeks to recognize and celebrate an outstanding scholar for her or his contribution to research and theory in practice based studies and overall impact on managerial and organizational practices. The nominee should have a track record of quality publications in academic journals and books, and preferably recognized practitioner relevant journals (e.g. Academy of Management Perspectives, Harvard Business Review, MIT Sloan, etc.) as well as other outlets. To nominate an academic who you believe has had a major impact on practice based studies please send an email containing a cover letter listing the reasons for your nomination and the nominee's CV to the PTC Awards Committee.

Who can be nominated? Any scholar with a proven track record of advancing theory, research and practice from a practice based studies approach can be nominated.
How long is the period for nominations? The nomination period opens April 11th and closes June 30th, 2012. Award recipients will be contacted via email within three weeks of the closing date.

Publications of the Conference
All accepted papers will be published by the journal of Transnational Corporations Review (TNCR) in English and Chinese as a special collection, and requested for the relevant indexes. Excellent papers will be selected by the conference academic committee and recommended to be published in one or two regular issues with SSCI indexing.
Paper Submission
All papers should be submitted to the TNCR editorial office by email at tncr.special@gmail.com. For the submission details on paper format, please follow the "Author's Guidelines" on TNCR's website: www.tnc-online.net/page/guidelines/index.php. Each paper should not exceed 30 pages (double spaced with 12pt font Times New Roman, including the paper, reference, tables and graphs). A cover page should be included with the title, authors' names, affiliations and contact details such as postal address, phone and email address.

Conference Fees
•Conference Registration Fee: USD300/ RMB2000 (early registration before August 31 can have 20% discount: RMB1600/USD240), this covers conference materials, 5 conference lunches/dinners, coffee and tea, refreshments, plant visit, and transports between the hotel and the conference site. Participants should be responsible for their travel and accommodation expenses.
•Publication Fee: USD150/RMB1000.This is to cover the expenses for reviewing, editing, publishing and indexing the paper(s) on the special issues of TNCR journal. The paper is limited within 10 pages and there will be an extra charge of RMB300/USD50) for per extra page.
•Workshop Registration Fee (Optional): USD680/RMB4300. This is to cover the fees for the workshop on Collaborative Research and Publication on SCI/SSCI Journals, the visit to Three Gorges Dam and the Yangtze Cruise Tour (5* cruiser with room and board, based on 2 people sharing one standard room. Room upgrades or for single occupancy are available on request depending on availability at your registration and payment time, and the price might be doubled or more).

Call for papers International Conference on Innovation and Management 2012
Annually organized by Wuhan University of Technology (China), Yamaguchi University (Japan),
the Pontifical Catholic University of Sao Paulo (Brazil) and the Brabant Center of Entrepreneurship (The Netherlands),
the International Conference on Innovation and Management (ICIM) has proven to be a high-profile event
for leading international scholars in the area of management and innovation.
Previously held in China, Japan, Brazil and the Netherlands, the 9th edition of the
Conference on Innovation and Management will be organized by the Brabant Center of Entrepreneurship (BCE).
BCE is a joint initiative of Eindhoven University of Technology and Tilburg University.
Both universities are situated in the South-East of the Netherlands.
The conference will take place during the Global Entrepreneurship Week,
from November 14th until November 16th 2012 in Eindhoven (the Netherlands).
In 2011 this region called Brainport, was selected "Smartest region of the World".

Call for 2012 AOM TIM Junior Faculty Consortium
The Technology and Innovation Management Division of the Academy of Management is pleased to invite applications for the 2012 TIM Junior Faculty Consortium to be held at the Academy of Management meeting in Boston (Massachusetts) on Friday, August 3rd (start: noon) and Saturday, August 4th (end: noon), 2012.
If you hold an assistant professor rank (or its equivalent) and teach or research in the TIM domain, this professional development workshop is for you.
The workshop will make available the knowledge that you need to prosper in both the local and global academic environment. The workshop focuses on strategies for impact as a scholar and teacher, as well as on building a career in diverse professional settings.
This yearʼs consortium will allow participants to learn how to publish in top journals, meet the editors of prestigious journals in the field, and receive feedback on their working papers from their peers and senior faculty. The consortium features outstanding senior faculty members with a proven record of research and teaching. The speakers include Ajay Agrawal, Diane Burton, Fiona Murray, Ammon Salter, Melissa Schilling, and Rosemarie Zeidonis. The consortium will provide participants with the opportunity for reflection and renewal, for networking with friends and colleagues, and for meeting new peers and senior colleagues with shared interests. Applicants must have at least one full year of experience as an assistant professor in a post-Ph.D. academic institution and no more than three years experience by August 2012.

We will take applications on a rolling basis until May 15, 2012. We encourage you to apply early and please note that we require potential applicants to attend the entire consortium.
