    Dear Colleagues,

You are cordially invited to attend the AOM symposium: Succession and Synchronicity in Corporate Modes of Reconfiguration: Make, Buy, Ally, Divest.

    When: Monday, Aug 7 2017, 9:45AM - 11:15AM

    Where: Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Piedmont

This symposium provides insight on the strategic interdependencies of pursuing multiple modes of reconfiguration, its antecedents, and its consequents.  Presenters will discuss: (1) the role of the simultaneous pursuit of multiple modes of reconfiguration on innovation; (2) how firms pursue different modes of reconfiguration sequentially in their efforts to redeploying non-financial resources within their organizations; (3) the role that experience plays on the choice of pursuing multiple modes of reconfiguration, and how switching among modes can enhance performance; and (4) the role that pursuing certain modes of reconfiguration can have on the development of capabilities.

    Symposium organizers:
Elena Vidal (The City U. of New York) & Razvan Lungeanu (Pennsylvania State U.)

    Symposium discussant:
    Aseem Kaul (U. of Minnesota)
