    The Strategy and Organization (S&O) area in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University is recruiting for one or more tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant professor and/or associate professor, subject to budgetary approval.  The start date for the position is August 1st, 2018. 

     

    Candidates should have a Ph.D. in management, strategy, organization theory or related fields, including sociology or economics. Applicants with a research and teaching agenda focused on international business, sustainability, or innovation / entrepreneurship are especially welcome. Applicants in other sub-disciplines will be considered, as will applicants from relevant disciplinary departments. In addition, the applicant must have demonstrated research proficiency through publication in top-tier academic journals, and possess a superior teaching and academic service record.  Applicants possessing outstanding potential, both as a researcher and a teacher, who are recent doctoral graduates or who plan to have completed the requirements for their Ph.D. by December 2018 may also be considered.

    Compensation levels, teaching load, research funding and travel support are competitive and similar to those at other leading business schools in North America.

    Your application should include: (1) a cover letter expressing your interest; (2) CV; (3) a brief research statement; (4) a brief statement of teaching philosophy plus documentation of teaching effectiveness (if available); (5) three letters of reference (preferably also sent electronically); and (6) copies of representative research article(s), including the full paper you would present if invited for a campus visit. Doctoral candidates and recent graduates should submit work from their dissertation.
