The Department of Management at HEC Montréal is recruiting tenure track faculty in the areas of Strategic Management and General Management (Assistant, Associate or Full) starting June 1, 2018. Deadline: 30th September 2017. The positions are subject to budgetary approval.

Department of Management: The Department of Management (http://www.hec.ca/en/management/index.html ) is home to 50 full-time faculty members with diverse disciplinary backgrounds and specializations (management, strategy, sociology, organizational behavior, leadership, CSR, etc.). The department has a 50-year history of strong commitment to high-quality teaching, pedagogical innovation and research. It offers a broad range of courses at the MBA, B.A.A., M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels.
Requirements for the Strategic Management Position
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
• Ph.D. in Strategic Management or a related field.
• Passionate about teaching strategic management and interacting with students at various levels (B.A.A., MBA, M.Sc., Ph.D., Executive Education);
• An established record of quality research or high potential in line with the stage of career.
• Mastery of French or a willingness to learn it. HEC Montréal's inception program provides excellent linguistic support for those who need it. The candidate will be expected to teach in the French language within two years of hiring. The ability and willingness to teach in English and/or Spanish is a strong asset.
Requirements for the General Management Position
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
• Ph.D. in management, social sciences or humanities;
• Passionate about teaching general management and in interacting with students at various levels (B.A.A., MBA, M.Sc., Ph.D., Executive Education);
• Interest in one or more of the following topics: managerial innovation, project management, epistemology/ history of management;
• An established record of quality research or high potential in line with the stage of career.
• Mastery of French or a willingness to learn it. HEC Montréal's inception program provides excellent linguistic support for those who need it. The candidate will be expected to teach in the French language within two years of hiring. The ability and willingness to teach in English and/or Spanish is a strong asset.
