This tenure-stream appointment will be at the rank of Assistant Professor and will commence July 1, 2017. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in OB/HRM or a closely related discipline by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter, or be currently appointed as Assistant Professors in OB/HRM or closely related disciplines and already have a Ph.D. We are interested in individuals with excellent research skills, a track record of excellence in research, and teaching, and the ability to become an excellent MBA instructor. For this position, excellence in research is evidenced primarily by the quality of the submitted dissertation, job market paper, and/or other publications and documents submitted for review. The successful candidate for this position is expected to pursue innovative research at the highest international level, and to publish articles in internationally recognized top tier academic journals in the field of OB/HRM. Participation in leading conferences, research presentations at other highly ranked schools, and other noteworthy activities in OB/HRM that would contribute to the visibility and prominence of the Rotman School are assets. Evidence of excellence in teaching may be demonstrated through teaching experience and accomplishments, strong letters of reference and the teaching materials (including a teaching statement and teaching evaluations) submitted as part of the application. Applicants should have a demonstrated strong ability to integrate both theory and practice in their research. They should also have strong communication and presentation skills, the ability to undertake graduate supervision, the ability to stimulate and challenge the intellectual capacity of both faculty and students, and a proven mastery of and engagement with their subject area.
